State of the Union Wordle
I really love how you can use wordle to analyze speeches. Here is the State of the Union by President Obama on January 24, 2012. Notice the words that are largest; America, American and JOBS. What else does this tell us about the state of the union?

Wordle is a great tool to help kids (and adults) see the forest instead of just the trees. When we're trying to focus on the idea of driving home a thesis argument, using Wordle makes the key terms jump right out at you. Did you ever try to Wordle Obama's Nobel Peace Prize speech? Interesting results!
